They've created a mobile-friendly Diablo from emily's blog

It's more carefully disguised than when it was first introduced in Diablo 4 Gold, but it's an equally boring slog. The purchase of a battle pass or spending a large sum on legendary crests won't do much since paying for an awesome item drop will never be as thrilling like just getting one.

I'm not certain if there is a way to separate the fundamental elements that make Diablo fun from the mechanics of free-to-play revenue. If it is, Blizzard and NetEase have not found it. They've created a mobile-friendly Diablo that's sleek fun, entertaining, and even generous at first. However, if one spends enough time with it there's no escaping the fact that the essence of the game was cut to pieces, then chopped up and returned to you in pieces.

Diablo Immortal isn't nearly as bad as a game that is free to play buy cheap Diablo IV Gold could have been. It's true that the game will slash you every turn with a myriad of microtransactions in all sorts of unfathomable currencies. You'll need to work until you win especially if you decide not to spend money on the game. And your reward for all this is a weaker duplicated version of Diablo II's tale.
