How many platforms can you play NBA 2K22 on?
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that 2K Games has any plans to make NBA 2K22 MT Xbox Series a cross-platform game at this point. In the FAQ section of the game's website, we can find the official word:Crossplay between different consoles or PCs will not be permitted.

Because MyTeam is being released on two generations of consoles, there is cross-progression between console families in the game. In the event that you decide to upgrade to a current-generation console, such as the PS4 to the PS5 or the Xbox One to the Xbox Series X, you will be able to keep your carefully crafted MyTeam roster and progression. For players looking to upgrade their consoles this fall, this is excellent news. However, for those looking for true cross-platform play, this is disappointing news.

It's impossible not to wonder, "What's going on?" when massively multiplayer games such as Splitgate, Warzone, Apex Legends, and Fortnite are released. Even if NBA 2K22 has a bizarre marketplace full of MyTeam cards and MyPlayers to manage, and we have to deal with constant rating updates, we should be able to jump in and out of a quick PlayNow game with a friend. When playing local games with one player using a foreign controller, smack talk can only get you so far.
