Finally, Nintendo has confirmed that Brewster will be making an appearance in Animal Crossing: New Horizons in a future update with a brief video clip: the player enters Blathers' Museum and ascends to the top floor, where there's now a glowing sign depicting an iconic pigeon and a hot cup of coffee.
Fans who are still interested in Cheap ACNH Bells will be delighted by this development. It has taken several months of beseeching and pleading for Nintendo to include the fan-favorite bird and his decadent coffee in the game, but fans' expectations will finally be met.
I think it would be a little strange to have a whole dedicated Animal Crossing Direct livestream showcase that only included one announcement: when Brewster will finally be included in the titular first-party title. Comparing it to other themed films, such as Pokemon, which is one of the Japanese developer's most successful flagship franchises, may not be a good example to follow in this case.
As a result of the brief teaser, only Brewster has been confirmed as a confirmed announcement for the upcoming Direct. There's still a lot more to show off: how will Brewster get to the island, for instance. Are we going to see something like Blathers again? Does this mean they'll have to build it themselves, or will it be included in the update automatically?
Even after all this time, there are still many questions about the upcoming Animal Crossing expansion. Both of these scenarios remain a possibility even though they were not advertised as such.
Beyond the many beloved NPCs who have appeared throughout the Animal Crossing franchise, fans have expressed a strong desire for improvements to the quality of life, such as bulk crafting, more custom design slots, and new furniture sets. According to rumors, Nintendo will use the Animal Crossing Direct to finally reveal DLC for New Horizons.
