It’s clear we’re getting closer and closer to the official unveiling of the Nike Kobe for Men and Women,
because Kevin Durant himself revealed a first look at a wild upcoming
colorway of his twelfth signature shoe. The energetic vibes suggest that
these could possibly by the debut “pre-heat” release of the KD12 model,
while the white/black colorway that was revealed earlier this week is
tentatively set to drop sometime in April. This upcoming release uses a
volt, grey, and crimson base, with Nerf-esque markings on the heel
counter, speckled midsoles, and the transparent upper revealing a bevy
of layers as well as a free-floating Flyknit shell.
With the NBA playoffs in full swing, Kevin Durant and his Golden State
Warriors are looking to defend the Larry O’Brien trophy, and Durant took
to the court for Saturday’s Game 1 drubbing of the Clippers in a
special PE makeup of the Nike Kobe 12. As the Slim Reaper grew up in the
’90s, he was heavily inspired by basketball-themed feature films,
namely Above The Rim and White Man Can’t Jump. Both of those movies lend
a detail to this black, white, and pink PE, as the font used for the
heel’s bold text branding is drawn from Above The Rim’s logo, and the
color palette is taken directly from the faded cycling hat worn by
Wesley Snipes’ wise-cracking hoops hustler Sidney Deane in White Men
Can’t Jump.
Kevin Durant’s in for a lot of “new” this Summer as rumors of him
departing Golden State for a new and possibly final chapter of his NBA
career. Best Price Nike Kobe
Before all that happens (or doesn’t happen), the two-time Finals MVP
will usher in yet another new signature shoe with Nike called the KD 12;
it’s radically different from the Flyknit-based models that have been
the focal point of his shoes since the ninth model as a new softer,
deconstructed upper takes its place.
With the flashy and nostalgic Buy Nike Kobe
slated to release at Swoosh stockists on April 1st, hoopers looking to
secure a simpler colorway of the 2-time Finals MVP’s 12 signature
sneaker will only have to wait five days. Dressed in a classic array of
Black, White, and Pure Platinum, the KD 12 “Day One” is scheduled to
drop on April 6th, just in time for the Warriors’ next playoff push.
The shoe is pretty much a full reset from the current line on a design
and functional standpoint, and there’s a lot more practical innovation
involved that serves Nike Kobe on Sale
needs that we’ll get into once the model is officially unveiled. The
overall aesthetic has also completely transformed as the KD12 sports a
5/8th cut with some informational cues on the medial side, and there are
certainly some high-energy colorways in the works as the Playoffs
approach.
